Privacy Policy
Last updated 15 August 2026
Lumin Property Buyers Pty Ltd (ABN 73 645 298 835), trading as Lumin Property Buyers, is a licensed buyers agency in New South Wales (licence 10105710). This policy explains what personal information we collect through this website, why we collect it, who we share it with and how you can access or correct it. We handle personal information in line with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles.
What We Collect
When you complete the enquiry form on this site, you choose to give us:
- Your name, email address and phone number
- What you are trying to do — for example buy, or be represented at auction
- Your budget range
- The suburb or area you are interested in
Our website and its advertising tools also record technical and marketing information automatically, whether or not you make an enquiry. This includes your IP address, browser and device type, the page you arrived on, the website or advertisement that referred you, and identifiers passed by advertising platforms so we can tell which advertisement led to your visit.
We do not ask for, and do not want, sensitive information such as health, financial account or identity-document details through this website. Please do not send them to us by email either.
Why We Collect It
- To respond to your enquiry and talk to you about buying a property
- To provide our services to you if you become a client
- To understand which advertising and which pages produce genuine enquiries
- To meet our record-keeping obligations as a licensed agency
We may also use your contact details to send you information we think is relevant, such as market updates. You can opt out at any time — every message includes an unsubscribe option, or you can simply reply and ask us to stop.
Cookies And Advertising
This site uses cookies and similar technologies, including Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager, to understand how people use the site and to measure the performance of our advertising. We advertise through platforms including Google, Meta (Facebook and Instagram) and Microsoft, and we share conversion information with them so they can report which advertisements worked and show our advertising to relevant audiences.
Some of that measurement uses your email address or phone number in a hashed (scrambled) form, which lets the platform match a conversion without receiving your details in readable form.
You can control cookies through your browser settings, and you can manage advertising personalisation directly with each platform — for example through Google My Ad Center. Turning cookies off may stop parts of this site working as intended.
Who We Share It With
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with:
- Trusted service providers who operate the systems behind this site — for example secure data hosting and customer-relationship management systems — who are bound by confidentiality and may only use the information to provide those services to us
- Advertising and analytics platforms as described above, for measurement and audience purposes
- Professionals you ask us to deal with on your behalf during a purchase, such as conveyancers, solicitors, brokers or building and pest inspectors
- Anyone else where you have asked us to, or where the law requires it
Some of these providers store data on servers outside Australia. Where that happens we take reasonable steps to ensure the information stays protected to a standard consistent with the Australian Privacy Principles.
How We Store It And How Long We Keep It
Your information is held in access-controlled systems, and only the people who need it in order to help you can see it. No system can be guaranteed completely secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect personal information from misuse, loss, and unauthorised access, modification or disclosure.
We keep your information for as long as we need it for the purpose it was collected — and, where we are required to keep business or agency records, for up to seven years. After that it is securely deleted or de-identified. If you ask us to delete your details sooner, we will, unless we are legally required to keep them.
Accessing, Correcting Or Deleting Your Information
You can ask us what personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it if it is wrong, or ask us to delete it. Email oliver@luminpropertybuyers.com.au and we will respond within a reasonable time. We may need to verify who you are first, which protects you as much as us.
If you are not satisfied with how we have handled your information or your complaint, you can escalate it to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.
Changes To This Policy
We may update this policy as our services or the systems behind them change. The current version always appears on this page, with the date it last changed shown at the top.
